Caitlin McCormackCaitlin trained at the Augusta Ballet School under the direction of Zanne Colton and Peter Powlus. In May 2012 Caitlin graduated from the University of South Carolina, earning a degree in Dance Performance and Choreography. While attending USC she had the opportunity of performing works by George Balanchine, Thaddeus Davis, Tanya Wideman-Davis, Twyla Tharp, and Helen Pickett, to name a few. Caitlin found her love for choreography in Fall 2010, her first work Trace was selected to perform in USC’s student choreography showcase. Caitlin continued to choreograph throughout her studies at USC. In March 2012, Caitlin’s work, Four, was selected by the faculty to be the first student choreographed work adjudicated into the American College Dance Festival, representing USC Dance. Four was also selected at ACDFA to perform in the gala performance. Caitlin has spent her summers and winters studying with Spectrum Dance Theatre, GloATL, LA Contemporary Dance Company and The American Dance Festival. She has also had the opportunity to dance professionally with Wideman Davis Dance Theatre, Rosie Herrera Dance Theatre, as well as GloATL. In 2013, Caitlin was selected as a 2013/2014 Dance Canvas Choreographer. Caitlin’s Dance Canvas work, Glimpse, was commissioned by Kennesaw State University in Spring 2014. Caitlin has choreographed professionally for USC Dance Company, Dance Augusta, Blabbermouth ATL, and Kennesaw State University.
