Kiersten Werner Fair began taking piano lessons when she was four years old and continued well into her high school years. Her teacher was her mother, Mrs. Judy Werner. In the sixth grade Kiersten got her first flute and began taking lessons from Debbie Vogt in Broken Arrow, OK. Kiersten earned superior ratings in both flute and piano competitions, and performed with the Broken Arrow High School Wind Ensemble for four years.
Upon graduating high school in 2001, Kiersten attended Evangel University, earning a B.A. in music education. Her degree included both a vocal and instrumental teaching certification. She studied flute with Mr. Larry Bridges and presented a Junior and Senior Recital in flute.
