For the most recent schedule information please see http://www.moegeston.com Maurice “Mo” Egeston is a pianist from St. Louis, Missouri who spends his musical time leading bands, writing music, working as a piano accompanist and working as an educator in both the classroom and the private studio. In 2008 the Mo E Family was born as a catch all for the variety of projects Mo currently leads and frequently writes for which include Mo E All-Stars, Mo E Trio and Mowinda Chamber Ensemble. Mo E All-Stars Groove Suites Vol. 1 will be released in 2017. Egeston frequently supports and collaborates with St. Louis based artists including CocoSoul, Mario Pascal, Jessica Butler and recently Paige Alyssa. He currently holds a Saturday residency at the Dark Room called Late Night Grooves which features his trio and a rotating crew of guest artists. Mo also was a member of St. Louis rock band Brothers Lazaroff before parting amicably in the summer of 2014 to focus on his piano studio. The band released the album Give Em What They Need in 2010, Science Won and the Science Won Remixes in 2012 and Hope, Fear, Youth in 2013. In early 2014 Elizabeth McQueen meet Brothers Lazaroff finished and released a Kickstarter supported EP remix of the renown Austin singer and songwriter’s album The Laziest Girl in Town. The Laziest Remix was first released in January in Austin, TX and was followed by a release in Brothers Lazaroff’s hometown St. Louis, MO. Mo also remixed a track for the Science Won remixes that featured samples of Elizabeth’s McQueen’s vocals.
