(Associate ASID, Principal Designer, Owner)
Jenny has been serving the greater Saint Louis community as an interior designer for over fifteen years. In 2011 she founded JCR Design Group, specializing in high-end custom interiors, renovations, kitchen and bath design, and new construction collaboration. Together with her team, they work closely with homeowners, architects and builders to create distinctive and functional designs, and interiors that are fresh yet timeless. In addition to the custom designs they bring to each project, a focus on communication, quality, attention to detail, and service, has allowed JCR Design Group to continually meet and exceed their clients’ expectations.
Their designs have been recognized consistently over the years by At Home Magazine’s Architect and Designer Awards, ASID Missouri East Design Excellence Awards, and Best of Houzz. Born and raised in New England, with an undergraduate degree from Brown University, Jenny’s early career was in commercial banking in New York City and Chicago. Although not creatively satisfying, this business experience has served her well. In 2002, Jenny’s passion for design led her to pursue a career in the field, and she joined a prominent local design firm. There she gained exceptional experience and developed extensive relationships with local and national showrooms, first-class workrooms, and highly skilled craftsmen. These relationships continue to serve her well today. In addition to her work in Saint Louis, Jenny’s designs can be found in homes in Chicago, Boston, New York, Naples and Vero Beach. She has also completed a number of commercial projects for area schools and churches.
Since 1998, Jenny has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Woman’s Exchange of St. Louis, serving in various capacities on both the Member Board and Executive Board. In 2017 she joined the Board of Directors of the Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park. Jenny lives in Saint Louis with her husband of thirty plus years and enjoys as much time as possible with their two sons and wonderful daughters-in-law.
Emily recalls a desire to be an Interior Designer since age twelve. That desire was cultivated through her family’s shared love of architecture and home design. She was always involved in her family’s personal home design and often tagged along during open houses that her parents frequently attended on Sunday afternoons. The passion for design eventually resulted in the pursuit of Interior Design as a college major, and included a semester abroad, studying Architecture, Design and Italian culture in Ariccia, Italy. After graduating from Auburn University’s CIDA accredited Interior Design program in 2007, Emily moved to Atlanta, GA. While in Atlanta, Emily gained design experience in Corporate Interiors, Hospitality, Mixed Use, and High-End Residential interiors. Design of a newly constructed Spring Hill Suites and Lowes Hotel were among some of Emily’s commercial design projects. Residential projects include everything from full kitchen renovations to custom furnishings in high-rise condos. Emily joined JCR Design Group in the Spring of 2013. She continues to develop her love for design through each new project. Most recently, she has enjoyed working on multiple commercial office building renovations for a local Real Estate Developer in addition various Residential projects. Currently, she resides in St. Louis with her husband and two young children.
Being creative and outgoing, interior design was a natural career choice for Megan. She finds her work rejuvenating, as each project envelopes unique colors, styles, and design challenges. From a young age, she relished projects that promoted innovative, creative and out-of-the-box thinking, and collaboration with others. As a young adult, Megan worked at a bridal shop in her hometown of Waterloo, Illinois. There she honed her listening and interpretive skills as she worked with clients to understand their aesthetic preferences, functional needs and budget requirements, to ultimately make the selections that best suited them. Megan received her undergraduate interior design degree, with a minor in architectural drafting, from Southeast Missouri State University, accredited by both the NKBA and CIDA. She joined JCR Design Group in June of 2016, after prior experience with another local design firm. Having travelled extensively, both domestically and internationally, Megan’s wanderlust prompted her to study abroad during her undergraduate studies. Visits to Spain, England, Morocco, and Italy broadened her view of design and appreciation of the world’s unique architecture. She finds inspiration in people and places around the world. Megan is an expert in bringing designs to life through various computer-aided drafting programs. These tools and 3D renderings help clients visualize their design plans which are then realized with confidence.
