Excited to announce a new journey I’m starting, focusing on focus. In photography, Bokeh is the blur in out of focus areas of an image. In painting, I’m not sure what it’s called, but I’m sticking to Bokeh. I’m drawn to Bokeh for several reasons. First, the way your eye is immediately drawn to the item in focus as the out of focus items seem to melt away and are almost hard to focus on in comparison. Also, the out of focus areas create a beautiful background for the in focus areas. Another reason I’m drawn to Bokeh, is that I am constantly overwhelmed by the fact that I can literally paint anything in any style. As you can tell from my previous paintings, I’m all over the place. I need to focus. I need a body of work with a focus. I continued telling myself that for quite a while until this idea came to me. And now I’m committing and focusing! I am just beginning this journey, so feel free to like my page and join me through this adventure. Who knows where Bokeh will take us when we are not limited by the realistic qualities of a camera!
Since I was 5, I always loved to do anything creative. My strong suits are drawing, painting, problem solving, and mathmatics. Do art and mathmatics go together? The answer is sure, but even my abstracts have realism or logic in them. I find myself engrossed in details, struggling to let go and do something completly abstract. So, I do what I do and if you have suggestions or comments, feel free to message me. I have yet to find a specific style or pattern, and I am still exploring my versatile abilities.
