Abigail Lee Goldberger is a contemporary artist, born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1973. She currently lives in San Francisco, California and works out of the ICB Studios in Sausalito, CA. She has taken part in many solo and group exhibitions around New England and in the Bay Area. Her most recent showings include The Farmington Museum in New Mexico, Fe Gallery in Sacramento and O’Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley, Ca. She is a member of City Art Gallery in the Mission District of San Francisco and does select monthly showings there. She was also named one of the “top ten emerging contemporary artists from San Francisco to know” by the Culture Trip website. Abigail is primarily an oil painter but has also studied and continues to practice lithography and intaglio printmaking, animation, metalwork, clay and drawing. She learned stone sculpture at an early age from her mother who was an established stone sculptor. From there she has continued to study art, in a variety of disciplines, mostly self taught but also through classes at Massachusetts College of Art and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Abigail is influenced by fairy tales, dreams and stories of all types. Her paintings try to capture the movement of an entire story with all of its evolutions and hidden meanings within a single two dimensional frame.
