Through Shyla’s career, her philanthropic efforts have not gone unnoticed- she has worked closely with over 400 charitable organizations over 10 years. Using her music as a platform, Shyla Day has been representing a nonprofit foundation, Peace Friends of Hope Foundation as the celebrity ambassador for 6 years, to raise awareness and allow children to get an education in Uganda, Africa’s Kisoro District where an education isn’t available freely to its children; especially young girls. She has chosen to raise awareness for different causes and she chooses to be involved heavily with non-profit organizations in the effort to aid those in need. She donated half of her earnings from her first released EP “LIVE at Lestats” to the Love Hope Strength foundation, and she spent 3 of her summers touring with Tunes For Tots to better the community and raise funds for nonprofits such as Make-a-Wish and the Boys and Girls Club internationally. Shyla is an activist for Anti-Bullying, Cancer Awareness, and non-profit organizations supporting homelessness, low income, education, and single-family homes. She gives the utmost support, time, and effort into organizations not only internationally, but locally in her hometown of San Diego. Because of her Philanthropic Efforts, she was nominated for A 2017 Entrepreneur Award and was selected as a Top Nominee in 2018.
Shyla Day is a published journalist, having written as the Music and Entertainment Editor for Manik Magazine. She’s composed and arranged scores for movies and live Musical productions, and she is a Small Business Champion. Shyla is competing in the Royal International Beauty Pageant, representing as Ms USA. Shyla is working collaboratively with high-fashion designers to debut her own fashion collection, A makeup collection, and she is now recording her first studio album.
