Gloria Lanuza, performer, teacher and choreographer, has trained and performed with her extended family of accomplished artists since childhood. At age six, Gloria began her dance training at the San Diego Ballet and graduated from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts where she focused on Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Choreography and choral studies. She has trained with many top flamenco artists in dance and cante (traditional and classical) as well as had extensive training in East Indian Classical Dance (Bharatanatyam and Kathak) and Belly Dance (tribal and cabaret). Other dance forms Gloria has studied are Contemporary, Salsa, Tango, African, Hip Hop, Samba and Ballet Folklorico de Mexico. She also has studied various forms of Martial Arts, Pilates, Yoga, music and acting. Gloria consistently continues to train intensively in every discipline she has dedicated time to learning. She also has many years of professional free-lance work as a featured performer and dancer in concert and commercial venues internationally. Most recently Gloria was employed as a featured dancer at The Battle of the Dance dinner show extravaganza. Gloria also has co-founded and incorporated Lanuza-Morales Productions, an educational academy and performance company, consisting of her talented filled family and other professional performing artists. Gloria currently teaches at Academy of Performing Arts as well as directs and performs with her companies Divine Desi Dance (an outstanding, well rounded Bollywood, fusion & Indian dance company), Raqs As-Salaam (beautiful Middle Eastern music & dance) and Flamenco Tez (A wonderful show of flamenco fusion music & dance) which are all associated with Lanuza-Morales Productions Inc. Ms. Lanuza, throughout her years of experience as an artist, has created an exciting and unique approach of fusing styles and cultures together to create an exhilarating experience in her classes, performances, and artist collaborations.
