Virginia Roe was born Virginia Roebuck in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and moved to the Central Florida area with her family when she was only 7 years old. She has always had a passion for music. During her time at school, Virginia joined the chorus and marching band in which she became the lead drum major. In college, she decided to pursue her vocal interests and joined a group of jazz vocalist as the solo soprano with which she toured for two years. Virginia then turned her efforts toward the stage. She has had the opportunity to play both minor and major roles in several shows with the company Moore Performing Arts which include, “Shh …”, “Mistletoe Madness”, “From Our Family to Yours” and “The Bootleg Players”. She has also starred in the title role of “Aida” in Highlands Little Theatre. You can see now Virginia perform as one of the lead vocalists and actress for many shows in the Central Florida area including the highly acclaimed Festival of The Lion King Live, also in Finding Nemo; the musical. Virginia has also been seen as a celebrity guest judge on spanish reality tv show Yo Canto tu Cantas for Estrella TV. She is also the lead singer of an African band here in Central Florida and continues to expand her horizon. Virginia has even shared the stage at the prestigious Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in 2016 with some of the biggest names on Broadway including Chita Rivera (two-time Tony® Award winner), Norbert Leo Butz (two-time Tony Award winner), Kelli O’Hara (Tony Award winner), Jessie Mueller (Tony Award winner, currently in Waitress), Brian Stokes Mitchell (Tony Award Winner, currently in Shuffle Along), Carmen Cusack (Bright Star), Andrea McArdle (original Annie), Lillias White (Tony Award winner), Andréa Burns (On Your Feet! Moritz, Jr. (Tony Award Nominee) that served as Music Director to name a few. Broadway Records released internationally a live produced Emmy Award winning album (CD & DVD) 2017 where Virginia can be heard and be seen singing with Voces Latina featuring Broadway & TV superstar Wilson Cruz. We anticipate her work with a release of an album, music videos, fashion line collaboration, and her work as an actress in the film Cognizance 2018. She is known for her soft, smooth, clear vocals that within seconds can turn into power house vocals. Virginia’s versatility is a force to be reckoned with.
