Melissa Park Voshell


Melissa Voshell is a flutist and teacher who is currently living in Navarre, FL. She has a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelors Degree in Flute Performance from Jacksonville University. Her previous teachers include Dr. John Ranck, Bonnie Lake, Rhonda Cassano and Les Roettges. She has maintained a private teaching studio since 2000 and held faculty positions in Music and Humanities at Jacksonville University, Florida State College of Jacksonville, Park University (Hanscom AFB campus) and Columbia College (Guantanamo Bay).
Her chamber music and ensemble experiences include subbing with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, performances with the First Coast Wind Ensemble, and First Coast Opera. In 2005 she founded and performed with the Arioso Flute Quartet in the North Florida and South Georgia areas until 2009. Since moving from her hometown of Jacksonville, FL she has collaborated with various musicians in the Greater Boston area and exercised every facet of her talent in the Caribbean and Japan. Offstage Ms. Voshell is an active member of NAfME, Florida Music Education Association, Florida Flute Association, National Flute Association, and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. She is currently the Music Teacher for West Navarre Primary School and Flutist for Duo Lindeza, Flute and Guitar.
