Renowned saxophonist, producer and recording artist, Dayve Stewart is one of the most sought after jazz saxophonist of his generation. Passionate and versatile in every way, Stewart pushes the boundaries to incorporate his colorful essence of shaping his own sound on the saxophone, by encompassing his signature blend of Jazz, R&B and Funk. Over the course of his career, Stewart’s name has become increasingly respected among top jazz musicians throughout the world. He has toured with soul music icon Al Green, touring the World alongside greats such as: Elton John, Anita Baker, Earth, Wind & Fire, and BB King. He has collaborated with jazz musicians Jamison Ross, Marcus Roberts and The Clayton Brothers. Stewart has also graced the stage with jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, Wynton Marsalis, Brian Culbertson, Kirk Whalum, Paul Brown, Najee and R&B singer Stokley Williams (Mint Condition), who reveres Stewart as “one of the most exciting players in music today”.
Stewart is currently in the studio working on his new album, entitled: “Feels So Good” slated to be released in early 2016. When discussing who he is as a musician today, he states: “The feeling that I am able to pour out of my saxophone comes from a place only unique to me. I embody that classic underdog story. A person that works hard, a person that finds inspiration in everything around him. Finally, a person that will take all challenges as a learning lessons and repurpose those experiences into something beautiful.”
