Being born in Memphis, TN but growing up in Orlando, Brittani has passion for this city and all it offers. At the age of three, Brittani began studying the art of dance and voice, which lead to her love of theatre and music. Never shying away from the spotlight, she studied Broadcast Journalism & Theatre Arts while attending The University of Mississippi.
While in Mississippi she was a lead anchor & feature reporter for Newswatch99 and in 2014 was named in the Top 4 Feature Reporters in the Southeastern Journalism Conference’s Best of the South, beating out reporters from over 30 colleges and universities. Also at Ole Miss, she was named the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta’s youngest philanthropy chair, served as Senior Class Vice President, Director of Community Service for the Associated Student Body for two years, President of the Meek School of Journalism Advisory Board for three years, served on the Chancellor’s Standing Committee for the Arts, was invited to the Ole Miss Women’s Council Leadership Series, choreographer and dancer for Ole Miss Student Dance and a successful campaign manager for numerous campaigns on and off campus.
In 2014, she returned to Orlando and became involved in the fabulous Drag & Pageant scene. Which led her to be a fierce advocate and ally to the LGBT Community. Brittani is the owner & promoter of Miss Citrus State Comedy Queen, creator of Southern Night’s Annual “Southern Goes Red” Party benefitting Hope & Help and is the Executive Assistant for “Dancing with the Queens.” Philanthropy is has always been in the heartbeat of Brittani. Brittani Brittani Acuffcurrently serves on the Event Committee for Dance, Dream & Inspire for Community Based Care of Central Florida, volunteer for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Central Florida, serves on on the Transgender Awareness Week Committee as a founding member, sits on the United States Conference on AIDS Host Committee and the One Pulse Foundation memorial Task ForceBrittani currently works for Two Spirit Health Services, a 501c3, full service LGBT & Allied Health Center, as their Community Relations, Public Relations & Event Coordinator. She also works for the Orlando Magic as well as freelance event, broadcast and public relations jobs. She is currently Miss Orange County USA and is grateful for the opportunity to represent the county she was raised in and loves.
