SMOLSKY

Smolsky is a singer/songwriter/actor/musician originally from Los Angeles, CA now based in New York City. His lyrical, yet commanding style is a blend of his background in musical theatre and his influence of songwriters such as Ed Sheeran, Bob Dylan, James Bay, and the late David Bowie. He is known for being captivating performance style. After spending three years playing in Santa Monica, Smolsky created his own record label, Crazy Bitch Records, and set out on tour across the United States and the UK. In venues such as The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles, the Ryman Auditorium and Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, The Bitter End in NYC, and The Cavern Club in Liverpool, Smolsky has thoroughly developed his performance craft. He knows how to work a room and a crowd to his advantage. This is something not many artists can do at such a young age. Smolsky has “performance in his blood” (The Magazine of Santa Clarita) and “is able to captivate an audience intensely”(Tea Katz, KHTS AM-1220 Radio).
Just as songwriter, he has consulted and ghostwrite for bands and solo artist across Los angeles and New York City.
Smolsky is a currently earning a BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace University in New York City. He is also currently writing two full length musicals. Through Peace, he has worked with many talented broadway composers including Michael John LaChiusa, Bobby Cronin, Ryan Scott Oliver, and the Tony-winning Jeanine Tesori.
His debut album, Smolsky in NYC (released on his own record label) is now available for download on iTunes, Google Play, and Spotify. His singles “Young Lovers” and “Lion’s Den”, and “You Fucked Up” are available for purchase and streaming on those same sites.
