Kenny Lewis is an American Singer-Songwriter born April 8th, 1964 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Growing up as part of a musical family in the Appalachian foothills, he was first exposed to and influenced by the sounds of Bluegrass, Gospel, and Traditional Country Music. As a teenager he was drawn to Folk-Rock, West-Coast Country, and the Outlaw Country Music movement of the late 1960’s and 1970’s. In 1983 Kenny moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he has performed, written, and recorded with various artists such as Wayne Lewis, Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, Jim and Jesse McReynolds, David Allan Coe, Billy Dean, and Brad Paisley. As a solo artist his musical style is acoustic guitar driven with straight forward lyrics reflecting images ranging from Eastern Kentucky to Southern California.
