Mikey AdamsA Santa Cruz local, Adams has a strong pedigree having worked in some of San Francisco’s top kitchens and brings this to a refined yet down-to-earth new menu at the restaurant. “I grew up locally and want to create an experience that feels approachable,” says Adams. “I am reinterpreting classic comfort food through a lens of California’s different cultures to translate to something that reminds people of home – especially with the artichokes, peppers, and variety of ingredients harvested in the beautiful Monterey region.”
Drawing on his experience as a local to the region, Adams’ new menu pulls inspiration from his background in classic Californian cuisine, layering global influences to create Mikey Adamscomfort dishes with strong depth of flavor. A rising star chef, Adams began his career cooking in Scotland for five years before returning to the Bay Area. There, he worked under Chef Douglas Keane at Healdsburg’s Shimo Modern Steak before spending time at San Francisco restaurants One Market and Central Kitchen. An avid surfer and skater, Adams returned home to Santa Cruz with his wife and daughter to live near the ocean and amongst agricultural centers in Gilroy and Watsonville
