Samantha Moon

Diversified Vocalist and Musician Samantha Moon born Tracy Samantha Johnson was born october 17th 1989 on the beautiful nature island of Dominica. Ms. Moon began showing interest in singing at the early age of three. she is very versatile and is able to sing many genres such as R&B, Soca, Zouk, Reggae, Ne-Yo Soul and pop but is focused on R&B an soul She began having a passion for music at the age of 3 and started singing on a more professional level in 2003 for a very large crowd and captivated everyone with her beautiful voice. This had opened the door of many opportunities for her. In 2006, she entered a Christmas competition where she won 1st place. She sang a song called ” IT’S A MERRY CHRISTMAS”. One year later ms.moon joined one of Dominica’s most prestigious bands “Natral Vybz International”, as a lead vocalist, where she had been a member for three years. She was known for her beautiful voice & high energetic performances. She also released local hits with Natral Vybz such as “HAITI” featuring Elisha Benoit. This song was dedicated to the people of Haiti after the tragic earthquake. Additionally, the song “REAL MAN”, On January 15, 2011, she performed in Jamaica at the Rebel Salute show and was introduced to the stage by world famous reggae artist Queen Ifrica. This show brings together the most famous reggae artists every year and has captured the respect of roots reggae lovers worldwide. It attracts thousands of people from all over the world. She was able to network with many other famous reggae artists who also performed at the show. she has opened up for artists such as Barrington Levy, Queen Ifrica, Christopher Martin, Cecile & wyclef jean. Her music is inspired by many artists to include Whitney Houston, Erykah Badu, laurin hill, Mary J. Blige, Wyclef Jean, sade, and Jill Scott. she also took part in the Q95 radio station talent search in the Commonwealth of Dominica west indies where she battled for the crown of best performer and singer and won by a storm .. She has also recently won the 2017 competition called “sing” in minnesota where over more than 14 competitors battled for the winning position. she has also opened for the Etana concert at the Reicchold centre for the arts in St. Thomas usvi and has performed recently at the 2017 Carifest festival following her live 2017 concert at the Minnesota Music Cafe. Ms. Moon has performed regularly in places throughout the Caribbean and the US. She was also employed by Carnival Cruise Lines, where she performed music for its guests for three years and is now working on her current Album and is hoping to touch the world with her upcoming work. She is admired and loved by many and it is surely clear why….
