Stephanie Jaimes is a multi-genre cellist originally from Miami, FL who has performed alongside big name artists, in orchestras, and chamber ensembles across the US. Stephanie is the founder of her original piano-cello duo Strings Attached, an El Sistema Teaching Artist, and continues to blur the line between classical and contemporary music. Stephanie’s education is rooted in classical music, and she received her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Cello Performance from Florida International University where she studied with Javier Arias, Jason Calloway.
She has toured and performed with the progressive-rock band Tran-Siberian Orchestra, 2015 to 2017, playing in sold out stadiums across Florida; Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville. And In 2013 Stephanie toured the US with two-time Grammy nominated singer/sogwriter Elsten Torres, opening up for legendary soul groups The Spinners and Sly and The Family Stone,
In 2017, Stephanie moved to New York City with her multi-genre Piano & Cello duo Strings Attached to study with the virtuosic chamber ensemble Project Trio. In December 2017, her duo participated in Project Trio’s inaugural program “The Studio”; a post-graduate classical/contemporary chamber music program held in Brooklyn to focus on songwriting, recording, and production.
In 2019, Strings Attached was accepted into cellist Mike Block’s FBI(Florida Band Incubator) program at the Mike Block String Festival. While at the one week intensive program, we received one on one coaching with contemporary/classical
