Nicki Black has been a professional artist in the digital, print, and fine art genres for the past 21 years. She is the Creative Director for Mindwatering and South Main Studios in North Carolina, a web & print design, consulting, and hosting company, plus private recording studio, that she founded with her husband, Tripp, in 1996 and 2000. In 2014, Nicki and Tripp launched a new wing of Mindwatering & South Main Studios, called South Main Media, to change the temperature of the culture through new media publishing. Nicki is a singer/songwriter, prophetic worship leader, and prophetic painter, and serves as a music producer in her studio. As an extension of her music and digital work, her fine artwork reflects her love of life and the Lord through a variety of media including encaustic, mixed, watercolor, stained glass, and pen and ink.
Nicki spent a season as a resident artist at The Artists’ Loft in Wake Forest, NC at The Wake Forest Coffee Company, and unless painting for live events and workshops, she now works primarily out of her private studio. She is a member of The Wake Forest Guild of Artists, and Wake Forest ARTS. She was also the resident in-house artist for events and conferences, and led soaking worship each week at The Worship Center in Durham, North Carolina from 2009-2015. She is a member of her church’s worship, prophetic, and intercessor teams. Nicki continues to lead soaking worship and paint during conferences and other events both regionally, and abroad. If you are interested in purchasing any of Nicki’s artwork or music, you can do so directly through her website, or in person at South Main Studios.
