Juan Alberto Pérez is an abstract painter now living in South Florida. He emigrated from Cuba to the United States at the age of 13 and lived in the Northeast until 2005. His abstract art has been shown in galleries throughout Manhattan, NJ and Baltimore. He has studied with the renowned abstract painter Omiros and at the Students Art League. The body of work by Juan Alberto Pérez consists of oils and acrylics on canvas or paper. His fearless approach to abstract painting ranges from purely abstract to abstract botanical and landscape representations.
Most of his work is inspired by and reflects his admiration for the purity and beauty of nature. The ambitious use of vibrant colors and
directed markings in one painting can contrast with the warm, soothing flow and mellowing effect of another. The artistry of Pérez expresses the vast emotional content of any given day or moment. It speaks directly to each beholder through the hidden language of abstract art that crosses all language and visual boundaries.
