Erlencia MumpheryErlencia Mumphery an astounding Soprano performer hails from Albany, Georgia. At a young age Erlencia knew that she was destined to fulfill a life-long career in music. A woman of true integrity, class and poise, Erlencia has graced various events and stages from the Jazz Fest in St. Louis, Missouri to Martin Luther King Celebration on the capitol steps in Tallahassee, Florida. Her resume deems her qualified for an always-immaculate performance infused and culminated with therapeutic undertones that wows the audience leaving them in pure and utter amazement of this soulful, sultry, dynamic voice.
Erlencia believes that music is the key therapy to captivating, transforming, and healing the soul. It is through music that she has connected with great individuals. As a graduate of Dougherty Comprehensive High School she studied voice with Mr. Mark Butler. She holds an Associate of Fine Arts degree from Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College and a Bachelor’s of Music Therapy degree fromErlencia Mumphery Georgia College & State University. In her studies at Abraham Baldwin, Erlencia was an integral member of the Concert Chorus, Jazz Choir, Jazz Band Vocalist and Chamber Singers studying voice with Dr. Susan Roe and Mr. Don Coats.
While attending Georgia College, she studied voice with Dr. Wendy Mullen and was an active member of the Max Noah Singers and University Choir under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Flory. She was the featured vocalist in concerts at Ground Zero and St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in New York City. She has performed on the International Stage in Epcot Park at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She is a known performer who performed with the GC Jazz Band, and was the featured vocalist on their May 2011 tour to the Czech Republic. Erlencia has completed an internship with Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida as an active music therapist and private music instructor. A moment in session with Erlencia Mumphery is guaranteed to be “golden”.
