Solo artist Derik Fein has chartered a path all his own while keeping true to his iconic vintage style. A singer/songwriter from Miami, FL his music ranges from acoustic pop fare, bathed in RandB and blues. Derik turned to music as a young child to combat the anxieties of growing up in a broken home. At 13, Derik’s musical roots were born when he traded in his iPod for a broken guitar which he refurbished and self-taught to play. Today, Derik has amassed a fan base all his own through his raw, edgy and storytelling way of singing, pushing the lyrical envelope evoking his thoughts on love, heartbreak, sex and the chilling truths behind trying to make it in the music industry.
Derik is one of the few independent artists who was green-lit by the Elvis Presley estate to cover his own rendition of one of Elvis’ iconic hits to promote the launch of the ‘Love Me Tender’ children’s book. Derik has also co-founded Bodega Records through which he executes every aspect of developing and creating an album. With the industry drastically changing as of late, Derik took matters into his own hands and tirelessly works to build a sustainable career as an independent artist without diluting his sense of style and artistry.
