Brandon Taylor

Brandon TaylorBrandon Taylor has been captivated by music ever since harmonizing with the vacuum cleaner as a kid. A Memphis native, Brandon has crafted his own cosmic American sound influenced by the 60’s folk revival and old time country. Brandon first began performing original material while attending college in Oxford, Mississippi. There he started to hone his craft, falling into a crowd of songwriters including Jimbo Mathus, Shannon McNally, Cary Hudson, and Tyler Keith. A born rambler, Brandon has explored America with his acoustic brand of melody making.
Fusing folk with electricity in the form of his first band, The Tenants, he toured throughout Mississippi,Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. His travels provided inspiration for his 2016 Madjack Records release, Radio Ghost, engineered and produced by Grammy winner Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell and recorded live to tape at Royal Studios in Memphis, TN. Host to a diverse cast of studio musicians, Radio Ghost features drumming by Cody Dickinson, electric guitar riffs by Luther Dickinson, soulful duets with Shannon McNally, and collaborations with members of Lucero and The Memphis Dawls. Bob Mehr, author of New York Times bestseller “Trouble Boys: The True Story of the Replacements”, called Taylor’s debut release, “an immediately likeable 10-track collection of story songs.”
