Carly McCray

My name is Carly, and I am a fine art wedding photographer based in beautiful Wisconsin. I’m so happy you’re here! My clients have commissioned me from California, Brooklyn, Europe + everywhere in between, but I live in a small city in the tall pines of central Wisconsin that I’m proud to have made my home. I grew up in the Milwaukee area, but I absolutely adore the laid-back lifestyle and landscape of living ‘up north’ along side my husband, Zac, our sweet twins Zoe and Grayson, our baby girl Reese, and our French bulldog puppies, Piney + Juniper!
After my own wedding in 2007, I began my journey as a full-time wedding photographer! Being a wedding photographer is a great honor, and big responsibility comes with being chosen to document one of the most important and meaningful days in two peoples’ lives. I love to work with couples who are crazy in love, and who create wedding days that are filled with exactly what they envision as a unique expression of themselves as a couple. Carefully selected details are such a beautiful part of two peoples’ story together, and I love documenting the big picture woven in with those special moments.
I work hard to create heirlooms that are a glimpse in time never to be had again–the ones you won’t realize you miss until they are long gone–that you, your children, and your grandchildren will love pouring over for years to come. I believe whole-heartedly that life happens beyond screens, so I love going analog as much as possible (shooting film included!) and getting outside with the ones I love. We’re currently fixing up and designing our fourth home (Joanna Gaines is my girl!). When we’re not deep into a house project, you’ll find me off adventuring with my brood, both close to home and across the country. I would love to hear from you and hear about what you want to remember most from your wedding day!
