I’m anda (rhymes with panda). i’m a natural observer, drawn to human connection, the way light moves, and genuine moments. i love being a wedding photographer because it’s a bit like being an anthropologist and short story writer combined. my intention is to tell the true story of your day as naturally as possible with a documentary style that is relaxed and real … never forced or scripted. at every wedding i aim to be a calming presence and to ensure you’re comfortable being photographed. i’m always looking for those in-between moments—the subtle glances and fleeting touches—that could easily go unnoticed. i like a little rawness, heart, grit and soul, and i’ll look for what’s interesting rather than what’s perfect.
even after documenting hundreds of weddings over the past ten years, i still witness each and every one with fresh eyes, endlessly inspired by the different relationships i have the privilege to encounter. i hope when you scroll through my work you notice every image reflects the feeling of that day, in particular, and that no wedding, family, or couple looks the same. because let’s be real … you deserve more than cliché poses and cheesy prompts.
a bit about me … i love waking up with the sun so i can ease into my morning with coffee and a book. other than that, i enjoy long meals shared with friends, nights at the lake, contemporary art, bonfires, live music and yoga. home is milwaukee wi, via chicago and madison.
my work has been featured in most major wedding publications including style me pretty, green wedding shoes, martha stewart weddings, huffington post, vsco journal, wi bride, veil magazine, brava magazine, madison magazine, 100 layer cake, and many, many more…
