Hannah Madeleine Goodman sings everything, from classics of the Great American Songbook repertoire to contemporary belter anthems. Drawing upon both her operatic and musical theatre experience, Ms. Goodman uniquely combines her years of piano training, love of writing, and natural affinity for comedy (including training at The Second City Hollywood) on the cabaret stage. Ms. Goodman has written and premiered two original shows at Upstairs at Vitello’s (formerly the E Spot Lounge) in Los Angeles: Too Fat For Musical Theater, Too Skinny for Opera (2017) and Almost Like Being in Love (2018).
Los Angeles-based soprano Hannah Madeleine Goodman is an emerging artist on the operatic stage, hailed for her strong lower extension and the way “her lovely voice spin[s]” (Lauri’s List). In 2017, Ms. Goodman was honored to make her LA Opera Chorus debut in Amadeus Live; sang chorus in Opera Buffs’ Carmen starring Rod Gilfry, Charles Castronovo, and Kelley O’Connor; and was a Resident Artist at Opera Saratoga, where she sang the role of Dorabella in the “Opera-to-Go” touring production, The Bremen Town Musicians. In 2016, Ms. Goodman made her role debut as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at Hawaii Performing Arts Festival.
Hailed for her Julie Andrews-like sound and earnest storytelling, Los Angeles-based actress Hannah Madeleine Goodman is represented by Steven Dry at Connor Ankrum & Associates. Favorite credits include: Ensemble in The Hunchback of Notre Dame at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts; Madrigal Singer on Glee; Clara in The Light in the Piazza (selections); and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance. Ms. Goodman is proud to be an alumni of the LA’s Next Great Stage Star competition, where BroadwayWorld praised her performance of “The Light in the Piazza” as “beautiful” and “[one] of the highlights” of the finale.
