Eman Chalshotori

Chalshotori is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the UMKC Conservatory. He is acting principal cello for the Midwest Chamber Ensemble and a member of the Topeka Symphony. Eman made his soloist debut in 2002 with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic performing Saint-Saens Cello Concerto. He has participated in masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Lynn Harrell, Colin Carr, Eric Kim. His talents have led him to serving as principal cellist for the Orchestra of the Pines, member of the baroque ensemble, the Pineywood’s Camerata, international touring with the University of Central Oklahoma Chamber Orchestra. Outside of the classical realm, Eman has collaborated with indie music artist Imogen Heap, the indie rock band Simple Tree, and recently with Kansas City slam poet Jen Harris. His most recent collaborations have included the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory Orchestra in a performance of Strauss’s Don Quixote.
