Leah Jorgensen

Leah is a harpist and soprano in Houston, Texas. She has performed in many orchestras and has played under the direction of many brilliant conductors including Franz Krager and John Rutter. She has been seen on the stages of Revels Houston, The Country Playhouse, Fort Bend Theatre, Texas Renaissance Festival, Garden in the Heights, McGonigel’s Mucky Duck, The Grand 1894 Opera House, Stafford Centre, and the Imperial Theatre, numerous churches and local venues. Her claims to fame are singing backup to Lee Greenwood, having the honor to perform for the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Lady Margaret Thatcher, and performing with the band Kansas (best known for their hit, “Dust in the Wind”).
Leah performs regularly for private and public events including weddings, parties, and more. She teaches harp, voice, and piano lessons, and is an accompanist for the vocal studio at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. Leah performs all genres of music, but her musical passions focus on Americana-folk music of the 1800’s, Celtic, Sacred, and Broadway tunes. She is a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Scottish Harp Society and American Harp Society, and the First Vice President and Music Committee member for the San Jacinto Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
