Veronica GiolliVeronica Giolli was born and raised in Fresno, California, and as an adult she lived in eighteen cities in California, and in five towns in Nevada. She used her locations and life experiences to inspire her stories. In the process she acquired a few husbands, four children, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. After retiring from the Department of Social Services in California in 2005, she found a new career in writing. She has been a freelance writer for several years, has multiple articles published including: “We Can Prevent Bullying”Veronica Giolli and “Bullard Racing” in the Fresno Bee, and “Solving a Crime,” “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,” and “Remembering a Friend,” in the Poison Pen Newsletter for Sisters in Crime.
Veronica was a founding member of Writers of the Purple Sage Publishing Consortium in Reno, Nevada, and belongs to Writers Unanimous, Sisters in Crime, and Writing for Publication. While living on a Indian reservation, she acquired firsthand knowledge of the tribal customs and spiritual practices of her Native American heritage. This in part, provided inspiration for Whispers in the Wind. Currently, she lives in California’s Central Valley with Maggie, her wire-haired terrier, and Gina, her blonde Shih Tzu.
