Heather Holmquest
Heather Holmquest is a soprano who specializes in historically-informed performance of early music, as well as a fervent supporter of new compositions. She has performed all over the Pacific Northwest as a soloist and choral musician. Holmquest has performed with the Oregon Bach Festival, the Oregon Bach Festival Composer’s Symposium, and Eugene Opera. She has been a featured soloist for the Oregon Bach Collegium, the Jefferson Baroque Orchestra, the Umpqua Chamber Orchestra, and the Roseburg Concert Chorale. This year, she is co-director for Eugene’s early music a cappella ensemble, Vox Resonat. Holmquest received her doctorate and master’s degrees in music theory at the University of Oregon, and continues to live and work in the area. Currently, she is on the music faculty at Umpqua Community College, teaching voice lessons and general music classes.
