Frances M. Johnson

I’m finishing my Sophomore year at Oakland University and singing has been part of my world as long as I can remember. I got my start at age 7 singing at Trinity Lutheran’s Christmas plays and some special events and was then asked to join the Journey Worship band. I was also part of the IKE music program for four years. I am a singer / songwriter at heart and have begun to write my own music and lyrics accompanied by my guitar and keyboard. I can cover well over 300 songs from many of your favorite contemporary top 40 artists, as well as some rock, country, broadway, classical and easy listening.
I’ve had the opportunity to sing at many venues such as corporate functions, Christmas and birthday parties, weddings and at several local restaurants… where I’ve been fortunate to perform for many of my family, friends and others that come to support me. I am currently a student at Oakland University and hope to use my education and music talents to help autistic children and alzheimer’s patients through earning my music therapy degree. From there I hope to open a care facility that provides music, art, animal and other beneficial therapies for those in need.
