Embarking on her third season with Opera Colorado, Parisa Zaeri maintains an active career as a conductor, collaborative pianist, and arts administrator. In her three years with the company, she has grown her position from serving as Opera Colorado’s Education Assistant and Young Artist Coach/Accompanist to becoming Manager of Education and Community Engagement. In this role, her duties at Opera Colorado continue to span across both administrative and artistic projects, from managing day-to-day scheduling and operations within the Education Department and developing new educational programs, to serving as Production Assistant for Hansel and Gretel and coaching portions of the Afternoon of American Song program. When not at the Opera, Parisa enjoys filling her time with a variety of musical outlets. She is on the piano faculty at Rocky Ridge Music Center and is also a highly sought-after freelancer in theaters throughout the Denver area. Parisa feels equally at home with both musical theater and operatic repertoire, which are reflected in her most recent musical engagements: Pianist for Parker Arts’ A Chorus Line, Pianist/Conductor for Stagedoor Theatre’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Assistant Conductor for Boulder Symphony’s La Traviata, and Music Director for Pacific Opera Project’s La Bohème. Additional special honors include Parisa’s premiere of two new operas by Michael Vince and Spencer Arias, as well as her participation in the second season of The Dallas Opera Women’s Conducting Institute. Parisa is originally from Dallas, Texas, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance – Collaborative Piano from New York University (New York, NY). She currently resides in Westminster with her husband, cellist Zack Reaves, and two dogs, Cassie and Blue.
