I got into photography through my love of the outdoors. Many of us have seen amazing pictures of well-known places. While backpacking and hiking I worked to be able to capture stunning vistas and beautiful landscapes. It was only a matter of time until I wanted to apply this passion and knowledge to all areas of photography. Being self-taught in both photography and Photoshop gives me a different approach with my images. I feel it affords me more creativity.
I have professional expertise in weddings, portraits, commercial, schools & sports. This variety keeps me sharp with my skills and allows me to take the best of all these seemingly different areas and apply it to any work I do.
Working with people is the most rewarding part of the job. Many photographers are very focused on the technical side of the work. That is clearly important and I take great pride in doing that well, however, it is just as important to make sure you are comfortable with me. Let’s face it; most people don’t look forward to having their picture taken. Many people put it right next to having a cavity drilled. (No offense to the dentists.) If you are one of the few people that do enjoy having your picture taken, congratulations you have a gift. By creating images you are excited about and showing you the back of the camera as we go, I can help you enjoy the sitting regardless of your comfort level with photography.
I went full time in 2005, and have since built my business almost entirely by word of mouth from happy clients. I would love to add you to this list. If this sounds like the experience and quality you are looking for, give us a call or send an email or text.
