Austin Von Johnson

Austin is a versatile actor with credits ranging from drama, to horror, to comedy. He primarily works out the Northwest and is seeking to break into
larger markets. He is known for his work in the multiple award-winning short, “Hero.” Current projects making festival round include short film,
“About Andy,” and feature “Like Love.” You can also see him in the comedy web series, “Vagina Town,” available to stream on Vimeo on-demand.
He makes an appearance in the feature film, “Making Sense,” currently in post-production, and if you’re in the Boise area you can see him in the
premiere of “Lucky Us” at the Egyptian Theater March 2nd.
Austin got his comedy start at the age of 9 doing Ace Ventura impersonations at family events. He will never again be that funny, but he tries! After
being a semi-finalist in 2017’s Boise’s Funniest Person competition, he quickly became one of Boise’s favorite hosts and feature comedians among
local grandmothers. He now travels the country with his playful, high-energy antics.
Austin is an expert improviser & regularly performs and produces improv comedy all over the western United States. Improv comedy is a live theatre
art form in which everything is made up on the spot, unscripted and unrehearsed! Austin has performed at the Wasatch Improv Festival, Sun Valley
Film Festival, & the Idaho Laugh Fest!
Improv isn’t just for the stage! Austin’s improv classes & workshops teach principles that improve communication, build confidence, increase
productivity, spark creativity & innovation, and so much more! Austin has taught workshops for Boise Young Professionals, JUMP, Boise’s Funniest
Person Competition, & the Idaho Shakespeare Festival.
