Cashmere WilliamsCashmere Williams is a seasoned professional with over seventeen years professional experience in the music business, he started in church at the young age of seven years old. At eight years old, he won his first talent show playing an old gospel song his uncle taught him later winning a partial scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1999, Williams stepped out as a full-time musician entertaining at corporate events, private parties and the occasional jazz festival , he knew then that’s what he wanted to do for a living. In 2003, he got the call to back American Idol winner Ruben Studdard from Birmingham, AL, they toured the nation and performed on shows like :The David Letterman Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, The View, The Jay Leno Show and many more. After three years on the road, Cashmere recorded “New Birth”, a dedication to his daughter Harmonie which debuted on the “Smooth Jazz Top 20 Charts” Recently, Cashmere was honored by his fans and voted “Best Male Jazz Artist” two years in a row 2016 & 2017 in addition to a recent nomination this year 2018!
