Lindsey Gallegos

Lindsey Gallegos is a freelance teaching artist active in opera, musical theatre, and choral music. She currently works as Artistic Director of the Charlotte Art Song Association, Editor at Modern Singer, and Artist in Residence at Opera Carolina. Having earned a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Texas Christian University, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Summa Cum Laude) from McMurry University, Ms. Gallegos has extensive performance experience in concert and staged settings and has a flair for the comedic. As Founder of the Charlotte Art Song Association, Lindsey is an advocate for local artists and passionate about nurturing the arts community in Charlotte
Recent engagements include Mimi in LA BOHEME, “The Witch” in HANSEL AND GRETEL and “Ruth” in PIRATES OF PENZANCE with Little Opera Company of Charlotte; “Geraldine” in Opera Carolina Opera Unlimited’s production of A HAND OF BRIDGE for which she was praised for “her pure soprano” and delivering “the most heartfelt singing of the evening” by CVNC. Other credits include “Rosalinde” from DIE FLEDERMAUS with the AIMS Festival Orchestra in Weiz, Austria, conducted by Lukas Beikircher; Stolz’s “Ave Maria” in concert with the AIMS Festival Orchestra at Basilica Mariatrost in Graz, Austria, with conductor Markus Landerer; “Donna Anna” from DON GIOVANNI with Mosaic Arts in Charlotte, NC; LA TRAVIATA, PAGLIACCI/ALEKO, ROMEO ET JULIETTE, FIDELIO, NABUCCO, and TURANDOT with Opera Carolina; KISMET and OLIVER with Lyric Stage in Irving, TX; “Donna Anna” in DON GIOVANNI and “Rosalinda” in DIE FLEDERMAUS at TCU; “Mrs. Meers” THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE; “Lucille Frank” PARADE.
