Andrea Horton is a lyric soprano from Houston, Texas. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance at Louisiana State University where she has sung Panì Pàskovà in The Cunning Little Vixen and Alice Ford (cover) in Falstaff. Other recent roles include Barbarina in Figaros Hochzeit (a reduction of Le nozze di Figaro in German with German dialogue) with Middlebury Deutsch für SängerInnen (Middlebury, VT), and Arminda in La Finta Giardiniera with Baylor Opera Theatre (Waco, TX). Ms. Horton has also performed as a Soprano Soloist in the Forrest “Requiem for the living”, Handel’s “Messiah”, the Vivaldi “Gloria”, and as Judy Shepard in a premier of Craig Hella Johnson’s new oratorio fusion, Considering Matthew Shepard with the LSU A Cappella Choir. In addition to singing, Ms. Horton has produced and directed scenes programs as well as worked in Arts Administration. She is an active member of the LSU community, and sings at several churches in the Baton Rouge area.
