I am currently pursuing a degree for studio art and psychology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, however, I do most of my work in Los Alamos. I was introduced to photography in high school and have been pursuing it ever since. My subject matter ranges widely, from portraiture, and nature, to urban landscapes. Major themes in my work include social justice, environmental awareness, and exposing more than people’s appearance (including internal battles, underlying emotion, and inner beauty). Many photographers and artists before me have stressed the difference between making and taking. My work seeks balance between the two, it is a mixture of taking the raw truth and using my camera to manipulate my surroundings to amplify the message I am trying to convey.
