I have been interested in photography since I was a little girl, and can remember taking snapshots of everything that interested me with my purple 110 film camera. After graduating from Texas A & M, I began a career in teaching, but pursued my ever-growing passion for photojournalism in my spare time. After the birth of my first child, I decided to leave teaching to be a full-time mom. As a new mom, I didn’t want to miss a single moment, so I took my camera with me everywhere. First grins, bubble baths, dress up and pantry digging- I documented them all, building on my photography skills to create a treasure of beautiful images that told the story of my little ones’ wondrous journey through life.
Before long other mothers began asking me if I would do the same for them. From there my photography business was born and it continues to grow alongside my young family. I am constantly reminded of how fleeting and easily overlooked the most beautiful moments of family life can be. I love that my work in photography gives me the opportunity to share in those moments with other families. Through the years, I have found that the best way to get beautiful pictures is to take the time to truly connect with each client, learning about your family, your interests, and your personalities.
