Christina E. Miles

Christina E. Miles was born in Detroit Michigan to her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Miles III. Christina’s musical career began at the tender age of five in the Morelight Missionary Baptist church. She attended the Detroit School of Arts High School, where she participated in Michigan Vocal Music Association’s (MSVMA) solo and ensemble festival. Christina Miles graduated with a B.S in Music Education concentration Performance at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. To date, she has participated in Puccini’s Turandot at the Detroit Opera House. Also, Ms. Miles sang in Verdi’s Macbeth as well as Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Ms. Miles has also participated in master classes with opera singers Susanna Phillips and Angela Brown. In addition, Ms. Miles has participated in a master class at Indiana University with noted opera Baritone Andreas Poulimenos. Furthermore, she also studied with Dr. Ginger Beazley at the Ars Nova School of Music. Moreover, she has participated in various recitals throughout Huntsville Alabama and sang in several churches all over the Metro Detroit area. Ms. Miles is studying with Dr. Frances Brockington, as well as singing with the Rackham Symphony Chorus and Rackham Ensemble Singers. Additionally Ms. Miles teaches voice at Cornerstone School and the Detroit School of Music in downtown Detroit.
