Deidre Alexander

With a perspective shaped by history, architecture, and environment, Deidre Alexander creates design experiences that are meticulously orchestrated to suit the needs of each client. She pursues design with an artistic eye—deftly marrying textiles, textures and color palettes to achieve a harmonious balance of traditional and contemporary decor. Her expertly honed visual aesthetic is backed by strong experience in new construction and renovations, an exuberant spirit, and a passion inspired by an eclectic mix of clients.
Deidre has completed commercial and residential design projects spanning
Charleston, NYC, and San Francisco. Her work has been featured in notable publications including Charleston Magazine, Apartment Therapy, and Cottages & Bungalows.
A native of South Carolina, Deidre holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Interior Design from Winthrop University. Previous to launching Leaf Interiors & Design in 2009, she worked for some of the southeast’s most prestigious design firms including Gensler, Arcadis, Furman Architects, Cummings and McCrady Architects, and Jolene Smith Interiors. She resides in beautiful downtown Charleston, SC with her partner-in-crime, Sullivan, a Cocker Spaniel.
