Ask Steven Herppich what his favorite place in the world is, and his answer is simple: Behind the camera.
A photojournalist for more than 20 years, Steven has spent his entire career with his eye to the viewfinder, doing what he loves most – capturing how we live, work and play. He gets joy out of connecting with people and making pictures that celebrate everyday life.
As an editorial photographer, Steven has worked with feature, business and news publications all over the country. His pictures have appeared in
publications such as Time, Newsweek and USA Today. Steven has received several honors, including awards in the University of Missouri’s Pictures of the Year International, the National Press Photographers Association’s Best of Photojournalism, the Associated Press Annual Awards, the Gordon Parks International Photography Competition, the Society of Newspaper Design, and the Society of Professional Journalists. Based in West Michigan between Chicago and Detroit, Steven brings his distinctive visual skills to unique stories and projects throughout the Midwest and beyond.
