Sheri Lee Robinson

S. Lee Robinson (Sheri Lee Robinson) is an American Abstract-Surrealist Painter currently living and working in Los Angeles. Born in St. Louis and raised in California, S. Lee graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with BFA in Painting. Her primary mediums include oil on canvas, ink, and indigo dye on paper. Influences span from her interest in various mythologies from around the world to classic painters such as William Turner, Gustave Moreau, 1950’s Bay Area painters David Park and Jay DeFeo and the New York School, with Robert Motherwell being her favorite. “I paint because I have to. Anything else I attempt does not fulfill me or make my head and heart sing loud enough..and trust me, I like it loud.”
