Anna Eschbach

Soprano, Anna Eschbach, is an active performer and private voice instructor in the Central Florida area. Born and raised in Orlando, Ms. Eschbach has performed with numerous ensembles and orchestras throughout Florida, including Opera Orlando, the Bel Canto Singers Of Daytona, the St. Augustine Community Chorus, the Villages Philharmonic, and the Orlando Philharmonic. Known for her performance in oratorio, her guest solo appearances include Saint-Saens’ Oratorio de Noel, Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes, Poulenc’s Gloria, Rutter’s Gloria and Magnificat, Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony, as well as Handel’s Messiah. While a graduate student at the University of Tennessee, Ms. Eschbach sang leading roles with the Knoxville Opera Company as well as the UT Opera Theater, including Adina in Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore and Miss Wordsworth in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring. Most notably, she appeared as guest soprano soloist with the University of Tennessee Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Carmina Burana. She received praise during her undergraduate performances at Appalachian State University in the roles of Rose in Weil’s Street Scene and Monica in Menotti’s The Medium. Ms. Eschbach has toured throughout Europe singing recitals in Switzerland, the UK, and Kenya.
Most recently, she performed the role of Anne Boleyn in an original show about the wives of Henry VIII for the 2019 Orlando Fringe Festival. Her performance was hailed as “soul-shattering.” Currently, Ms. Eschbach runs a private voice studio in the Orlando area and is on the voice faculty at Rollins College. She performs full time with the Basilica Choir of Mary, Queen of the Universe, as well as with her all-female a capella group, Helena, and the Festival Singers of Florida.
