Eric Vozzola is a studio artist, muralist, and graphic designer based in Las Vegas, NV. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from UNLV in 2011. Eric has shown studio work in solo and group shows locally and nationally, and has multiple public art pieces around Vegas. His most notable solo shows in Las Vegas were held at Winchester Gallery, Whitney Library Gallery, and the Alumni Gallery at his alma mater of UNLV. He has created murals and public art for the City of Las Vegas, Life Is Beautiful festival, Zappos and various private residences and local businesses. He held a senior designer position on the creative team at The Venetian Resort for 5 years, but left that role ealrier this year to work on his vibrant art practice out of his home studio in downtown Las Vegas, full time.
Eric’s ultimate goal with his work is to create a symbiotic relationship between art and design, exploring the intersection of analog and digital. Traversing a variety of media, color theory, and visual motifs, Eric works with painting, drawing, digital media, and installation. Vozzola’s studio art and mural work are continuously inspired by his graphic design background, and vice versa. His visual language ranges from the balance of abstract patterns and intersections of color, to textural landscapes and surreal environments. Eric is known for his use of vibrant color palettes and nods to his surrounding desert environment as he examines the world around him. Vozzola creates his own dynamic universe through his art – places where thoughts can wander and mindfulness can be achieved.
