Tré Melvin (born October 28, 1992) is an American actor, singer, songwriter, designer, poet, activist, and YouTube personality. Melvin is widely known for his YouTube series, formerly named “This Is A Commentary”, in which he produces a magnitude of sketch, parody, social commentary, and short-form episodic programming. His channel currently boasts over 3.2 million+ subscribers and 300 million video views worldwide. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Melvin studied theatre and creative writing between grades 7 through 12 at Stivers School for the Performing Arts, and Business Marketing at the University of Cincinnati. He began acting professionally at the age of twelve, appearing in a variety of stage plays, musicals, television commercials, short films, and radio spots. Melvin currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
