Christopher Reistroffer

My artistic eye opened after receiving my first camera as a child. My vision evolved into something amazing; a life and portfolio I dare say is almost a blur, like a movie in fast forward. With photographs documenting my experiences and the incredible individuals I encountered along the way, I am able to share my life with the world, hopefully to inspire others to dream and accomplish as well. Through my lens, you can catch a glimpse into my world, my passion, and my artistic perception of reality.
My photography has opened doors allowing me to travel beyond time and boundaries to broaden my understanding of the world, from the open prairies of South Dakota to the ancient pyramids of Giza, and so many places in between. I have exchanged words with English Royalty, heads of Fortune 500 companies, and world diplomats. My feet have touched the ground of Normandy, the White House lawn, and the Palace of Versailles to mention a few. Quite literally, both my sense of adventure and determination to succeed, drive me to do the impossible–to create the perfect shot.
Where others show fear or trepidation, I do not – even if it means hanging out of a helicopter, climbing a mountain, or filming out of a speeding car. My clients rest in the knowledge I get the shot no matter the obstacle. My expertise lies in capturing the interesting and the exciting. I tend to find myself working with individuals of high spirits and dreams of their own. Most assignments include photographing VIP events, weddings, and the creation of captivating commercial images, although nothing is outside the realm of possibility.
In my career I’ve had the honor of photographing individuals from the likes of former President Bill Clinton, bestselling author Jeffrey Hayzlett, the world sensational Swedish House Mafia, CoverGirls and world-famous DJ’s the Nervo Twins. For fun and with great excitement, I’ve also spent time working with and photographing some of the top competitors in the Ultimate Fighting Championships like Jake Ellenberger and Ryan Bader. I’ve worked with companies such as Red Bull and Steinway & Sons; and covered events like Ultra Music Festival, The Groove Cruise, and We-Fest.
My work has found its way into many mainstream entertainment publications. It is through my photography I am able to support my entrepreneurial spirit, sharing my knowledge and network through a multitude of small businesses. Exposure is one philanthropic endeavor, a non-profit business incubator I co-founded in my hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Exposure grows small businesses and empowers artists. My other charitable passions include supporting the Children’s Inn, Children’s Home and Family Services, Junior Achievement, and Sister Cities. Whether you’re walking the streets of my hometown Sioux Falls, enjoying the warmth of South Florida, or mixing business in Europe, keep your eyes open! You never know where you’ll see me or my work. I look forward to capturing your vision in my next adventure.
