Bethany Smith-Jacobs
Soprano and Wyoming native, Bethany Smith-Jacobs holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Bethany is a music professor at Laramie County Community College and also teaches private lessons and classes at Act Two Studios in Cheyenne,WY. Bethany previously taught voice and music theory at the Renaissance Music Academy in Henderson, NV. Bethany is also an avid performer. She is currently involved with the Denver Opera Collective and Opera on Tap-Colorado. In 2018, Bethany presented multiple recitals throughout Wyoming with musicians such as Baritone, Jan Kliewer, and Pianists, Tim Schoessler and Jessica Pacheco Hjelmstad. Bethany was recently seen as Anne Page in the Loveland Opera Theatre production of The Merry Wives of Windsor in February and March of 2017. Other recent performances include the role of Laurentia from Dan Shore’s The Beautiful Bridegroom and Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro with the UNLV Opera Theater. In 2016, Ms. Smith was a young artist with the Druid City Opera Workshop where she was heard in selections from Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier as Sophie and Oklahoma! as Laurey.
