Amy Susan Heard
Amy Susan Heard is a professional Christian singer/songwriter and winner of 2 Detroit Music Awards for Outstanding Christian Vocalist and Outstanding Christian Songwriter. Amy works as a professional vocalist and actor as well as an instructor of voice, guitar, piano and theatre. In her spare time, she is in the recording studio, working toward her newest album of originals. She has just released her 3rd Pop/Folk CD (and first 12-song LP), “Meant To Be” a tribute to her sister, Danielle Heard, who tragically died in a car accident in 1996. Amy’s first EP “Sister To Sister” was the first of the two tribute CDs, mostly comprising of Danielle’s original music, arranged and performed by Amy. In the past 3 years, Amy has collaborated with Marq Speck of Sweet Crystal (8-time Detroit Music Award winners) in a recent single, “Some People May Ask,” Christian Jazz/Rock bassist/songwriter, Mo Jones of Three Fold Mercy, Classical composer, James Stonehouse (in the realm of Musical Theatre, Christmas and other original compositions), and most recently Christian theatrical writer/lyricist, Catherine Zardus. The Michigan film/radio industry has used Amy’s talents as well. She has done various Voiceovers and just landed her first three principal TV commercial roles. Amy can also be found on IMDb for her leading role as Cheryl in the Christian film, “Presence” and for supporting roles in “Papou” and “Unexpected Places.” Her voice is also “heard” in the film track, “Roadkill: A Love Story” and other films scored by Canadian composer, James Stonehouse.
Amy’s most recent stage performances were as Mary Magdalene in a Kelly Neito production entitled, “The Living Stations of the Cross.” She continues to do drama performances with Catherine Zardus in a production entitled, “At His Feet: Women In Scripture.” Amy has a Masters in Music (Vocal Performance and Musical Theatre) from the University of Montana and a Bachelor of Music and Minor in Dance from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She attends OakPointe Church Milford where she serves on the Praise and Worship team. Amy Heard is unapologetically, faithfully, and passionately a Bible-believing, God-fearing Christian!
