Pamela Nelson SmithPam earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Auburn University. For over 20 years she was co-owner of an advertising agency in Atlanta, GA. with her husband Larry. Now she is a portrait artist and co-owner of 2 Smith Art Gallery in historic Duluth, GA. For years, she enjoyed watching her husband, Larry Smith paint impressionistic landscapes. In 2005 when he decided to teach a painting class, she jumped right in. Little did she know that this would open an exciting new world of creativity to her and give her a gift she never imagined existed. Pam loves painting people studies and portraits of adults and children. She has been commissioned to do portraits of three year olds, corporate executives and beloved pets. She has a unique ability to add just the right sparkle to each portrait that she paints. In addition to her portraits she has begun painting still life and landscapes. She and Larry now paint and teach oil painting classes together at 2 Smith Art Gallery. For the last five years they have averaged 120 students a year. Pam is a shining example of what surprises life can bring, when you least expect them.
