Liv Waters

My name is Liv and this is my bio. You see, this is the place where most people hire someone or write in the third person about a persons accomplishments and all the highs of their cereer. I would like to try a different approach to disolve that extra layer of privacy and be as translucent as possible.
I grew up in New York an hour north of the big apple. I was influenced by a lot of people growing up–my dad was a drummer in a rock band playing all of the classics, my god mother listening to oldies and everything country, and my mom listening to everything in between. I have explored many genres, mostly country in my professional career, but I have found my way back to another passion of mine, pop music.
You see, I just want to tell my stories and express my feelings in hopes that you all can relate and use my expression as a coping mechanism, or have one of my songs as an anthem to a time in your life, or just enjoy it eith your windows rolled down on a spring day driving through back roads.
For a long time I tried to write “hits,” I tried to write songs that I knew would “sell” or that would be popular, but along the way I lost the passion and the devotion to the craft that the 5 year old girl had practicing classic piano everyday after school had, the girl who had books upon books of song lyrics and melodies by age 12, or the girl who dropped out of business school to chase her dreams. So, hey guys, I’m Liv and I am so happy to have you here!
